Monkey With a Hat On

We are dedicated to providing original and relevant theater for five bucks.

Theater empowers us and allows us to share live experiences. It offers a medium for thought, emotion and human histories to be exchanged in real time. This should be accessible to everyone, both the audience and the people who participate.

We welcome any heart-beating, positive Portlander who wants to get involved—whether for acting, writing, directing or stagecraft. Anyone can attend casting calls, submit a play and apply to be a part of our company. We want you to join the fun! To get involved, all you have to do is e-mail us at:

Ollie was born in Warren, MI, the year the Detroit Tigers won the World Series. He was raised in Ormond Beach, FL, where he could run to the beach in sixty seconds. In 2002 he moved back to the Midwest to attend college and to find out what winter is like. For the next six years he drove around and lived in several cities across the United States before finding his home in Portland, OR. Ollie earned a B.A. in Theater from Beloit College, is a graduate of the National Theater Institute at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, and has studied with The Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford, England.
